Platanias is a beautiful fishing village on the southeastern side of the peninsula, opposite the Northern Sporades islands Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos and opposite Euboea.
In the region of Platanias and throughout the southeastern edge of Pelion found by antiquity Sipiada town which owes its name to the current Municipality Sipiada to which we belonged.
